How do I find these things? I don’t know, but here’s a chess set to lust after. It’s made by the famous bronze sculpture, Dannyquest, and the chess pieces are, you guessed it, French Bulldogs with the Eiffel Tower for the castle! One side is highly polished bronze and the other side is a dark patina bronze. (Guess you could call them Fawn and Brindle?)

Better brush up on your chess skills to justify getting this set. There are only 35 Limited Editions at a purchase price of $1,500, plus another $100 for the board. Here’s a chess move to get you started: did you know about the opening move named the French Defense?

If you are headed to Las Vegas in early June, check out the Licensing International Expo at the Manadaly Bay hotel. Yuko Shimizu, creator of Rebecca Bonbon and Hello Kitty, will be at the Fremantle Enterprises Booth 704 between 4 pm and 5.30 pm on Tuesday June 2, 2009.
